Riverside shares communion together the last Sunday of every month. Each communion Sunday a Riverside family prepares the communion bread from a recipe we have. It is a fantastic way for your whole family to participate in preparing for our communion Sundays and we would love to put your family on the schedule. If you are interested in baking the communion bread one month in 2012, let Pastor Dan ([email protected]) and he will send you the recipe.

February Prayer Calendar
You can pick up a free February prayer calendar at Riverside this Sunday! It may not solve all your scheduling struggles, but it can help you make time with your Father. Take the calendar and put it on your fridge, with your Bible, by your bed, but not in the recycling bin! Use it to prompt your prayers for your Riverside family and God’s people everywhere. And if you can’t wait until Sunday to get a copy, you can download one right now. See the attached….

Promiseland Chatter-January 2012
The Christmas Holiday is over and Children’s Ministry enjoyed our third Christmas Pageant. The kids did remarkably well. They had no trouble stepping into character as they retold the story of Jesus’ birth with some entertaining humor. We were all very proud of them. Thank you, parents, for working with the kids on lines and learning songs. A special thanks to Miss Dana, our fearless director, for all of her time and talent she graciously gave us. After the pageant, a large group went caroling in the neighborhood and then came back to church for Bruno’s pizza and birthday cake for Jesus. It was a fun evening and we hope God was honored in all we did.
Congregational Meeting
There will be a brief congregational meeting on Sunday, January 22nd, following the second service. There will be an update on Riverside’s budget and properties. We will also be voting on the following: Megan Mills’ re-election to the Nominating Committee, Linda Bogan’s re-election to the Leadership Team, and Chuck Moeschberger’s election to the Pastoral Relations Committee. New amendments to the RCC Constitution and Bylaws will also be proposed. Please plan to join us for this meeting.
