Riverside’s monthly prayer calendar is intended to spur on adults and children alike in their prayer lives. Each day’s requests are biblically based and are for all sorts of people—those who need to know Jesus as well as the “saints.” There are prayer requests for personal spiritual growth, our families, our own church, community, and nation, to around the world. So use the attached calendar as a tool to grow yourself, train your children and bless many people.

Riverside Service Week
On Sunday, June 9, Riverside will cancel our Sunday worship services in order to worship our God through service. Riverside will travel to Frankfort, Indiana to eat lunch and spend the day working on projects at the Frankfort Bible Camp. We will also have various service projects that we will be completing throughout our community the rest of the week. Please follow this link to let us know when you can participate. Complete the survey here.
We are also selling fantastic Riverside T-shirts with the image to the left. The shirts are navy blue and come in both youth and adult sizes. The funds will be used to support the Service Week projects. You can order t-shirts through this form.
Finally, we expect to need around $5,000 to complete the various service projects we will be doing throughout our community. If you are you able, we would love to have you participate in our projects by making a financial donation. You can make a check out to “Riverside Covenant Church” and write “service week” in the memo.
Promiseland Chatter May 2013
Halleluiah! We have almost made it through the school year once again. The kids in Promiseland (PL) are finishing up in their classes learning to be more like Jesus so they can make a difference in the world. We have celebrated as five kids made commitments to follow Christ for the first time and for the boldness all the kids are exhibiting as they pray together in class each Sunday.
Men’s Outdoor Breakfast and Fishing Event
“When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. Jesus said to them, bring some of the fish you have just caught.” . . . “Jesus said to them come and have breakfast” John 21:9-10,12 (NIV).
This is another great reminder of how Jesus not only met the spiritual needs of his disciples but also their physical needs. Men of Riverside, I encourage you to consider your need of fellowship with other men who are also seeking to follow after Christ. Consider attending the Men’s Outdoor Breakfast and Fishing Event (see details below), regardless of your interest in fishing consider attending the event for fun, fellowship, and a few fishing stories. After all, if an outdoor breakfast was good for Jesus and his disciples….it is good for the men of Riverside.
