This weekend I took three of our girls to The Awakening in Frankfort, IN.  If you have ever heard of The Great Banquet, The Awakening is the high school version.  In a nutshell, it's a three day experience with Jesus.  There's a little mystery surrounding it because it's one of those things you just have to go to to understand what it's all about.  Otherwise, if it was all laid out on the tabl

This week I had the chance to get to know the Swift twins really well as we served at 2 of our local shelters.  On Thursday we had the chance to work at the Women's Emergency Shelter where women and children in abusive situations can stay for up to a month as they work out their home lives.  We moved donations out of the basement and washed windows-the shelter coordinator was awesome and invited

The weekend started off with a little Mexican fiesta at the Wellner house-the senior high girls all gathered to hear God's thought on sex and dating sprinkled with a few quesadilla's and lots of Sunny D!! It was a great night of getting personal with what their plans are for purity!!

So Gospel Journey Maui is now in full swing!  We have our favorites and those we think should be kicked off the island so to speak-but one thing is for sure-the students are talking about their relationship with Jesus while sipping tropical smoothies.  We're getting into the deep stuff like why are we here?
