Parenting Class
Today many are finding the task of parenting and doing so well, more and more challenging. The reasons for this include ever greater stresses from financial stress, to scheduling stress, to a surrounding culture that makes the task more difficult.
The class will begin with several panel discussions featuring several couples each week. These panels will focus on parenting children in the preschool years, the grammar school years, and the teen years. In the weeks following topics generated thought the panel discussions will be examined in greater depth making use of relevant Biblical teaching and additional materials on Christian parenting. The goal will not be to present a singular or ideal model of parenting but to discuss foundational principles and their application. Each week will also feature sharing by and among those in the class.
Tentative September Schedule:
Sunday, September 13: Parenting Preschool Children Panel Discussion
Sunday, September 20: Parenting Teenage Children Panel Discussion
Sunday, September 27: Parenting School Aged Children Panel Discussion
