This Sunday was our first Discovery Hour in the White House! Plus, we had a record high of 12 junior/senior high kids come–Woo Hoo!! That whole bit I had been giving about us being really sedate and quiet on Sunday mornings went right out the window, but the upstairs tenants seemed fine with us, and so that’s a blessing! We talked about the Psalms and how important it is to cry out to God no matter what state of mind we’re in (happy, sad, confused, or excited). He wants to hear it all! Later that afternoon, we invaded William and Melissa Lindsey’s house. The boys were supposed to be paintballing but that activity got moved to this coming week. Consequently, they joined what was supposed to be an ‘all girls’ afternoon. So in the mindset of going with the flow, we all hung out together: the boys and Lexy rocked out on William’s new Beatles Rock Band, while River jammed with his own little guitar. It was hilarious! Lexy made cookie dough and Melissa baked it–Isn’t it so true that making the dough is awesome? But sitting there making it into cookies is not so much? Meanwhile, the rest of us sat and ate delicious birthday cake for Miss Caroline and painted our fingernails. We also got really brave and did some mudmasks that we left on too long and made a huge mess taking them off. We ended the day by watching the first part of "Confessions of a Shopaholic", which Thomas confessed to having already seen several times–Ha!Ha! It was a crazy, crazy day, but we had a super blast! Yippee! to Melissa and William for loving us, even though we were loud and messy. 🙂
