Did you know that 9,000 international students from 125 countries are studying at Purdue? This August, 2,000 new international students will arrive on the Purdue campus. For many, this will be their first time living in another culture, far from family and friends.
The International Friendship Program (IFP) is an opportunity for local residents to befriend and welcome international students to our community. The program matches community volunteers with international students. There are no legal, financial or housing obligations, only a willingness to reach out in friendship to an international student during the student’s first semester at Purdue.
