Riverside is participating in Lafayette Urban Ministry’s Jubilee Christmas. This is our community’s largest Christmas assistance program. On Saturday, December 10th, 10 a.m-12 p.m., Riverside will become a Jubilee Toy Shop where parents participating in the Jubliee Christmas program can select new toys for their children. We have 15 families with a total of 45 children we are buying gifts for.
Here is what you can do to help…
- Financial support—either to support a family ($55) or to buy toys for each child ($15-30). Checks can be made out to Riverside CC with Jubilee Christmas in the memo line.
- Shop for new toys for the 45 children age 1 month-12 years. Jubilee Christmas wants each child to have 3 toys. You can take a slip off the bulletin board in the back by the information table that has the age and gender of the child you want to shop for. (Each slip equals one toy). You can drop off the toys at the church at any time (that the church is open) into the boxes that are labeled by gender and age .
- Sign up at the information table in the back of the sanctuary to host a family on Saturday, December 10th while they shop. A short meeting will be held after second service on December 4th to go over the details of hosting.
All gifts and financial support is due in to the church by Sunday, December 4th.
