Riverside’s Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one caring ministry that helps Riverside share one another’s burdens.
Riverside’s gifted and trained Stephen Ministers provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting. Our Stephen Ministers come alongside people struggling through a difficult time in life—experiencing grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or some other life crisis.
Stephen Ministers are the caregivers, God is the cure-giver.
Stephen Ministry is named after Stephen in the book of Acts. (Acts 7) He was one of seven chosen to do the work of caring for the people in the church. The Bible tells us that Stephen was a man of great faith and full of the Holy Spirit.
