It is with great excitement that we introduce you to Ralph Moller, our candidate for Riverside Associate Pastor. Pending congregational approval, Ralph will serve in the areas of adult discipleship, small groups and general pastoral care.
The Search Team was immediately drawn to Ralph’s experience and passion for discipleship. In Ralph’s application materials he wrote, “I feel called to a new season of ministry where I can focus my efforts on developing a disciplemaking movement in God’s Kingdom . . . For almost 30 years disciplemaking and small groups have been the core of my ministry.” The Search Team particularly appreciated Ralph’s holistic view of Christian formation and his demonstrated ability to help people grow in Christ. Ralph is committed to God’s Word and to helping people experience God’s presence in every aspect of their lives. Ralph’s references affirmed that he is faithful, kind, thoughtful, generous, intentional, and discerning.
Ralph and his wife, Teresa, currently live in San Francisco, California, where Ralph serves as the Senior Pastor of Lifehouse Covenant Church. Prior to serving Lifehouse, Ralph was the Senior Pastor at Heartland Covenant Church in Ripon, California and planted Westhigh Church in Cary, North Carolina.
Ralph earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington, a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Theological Seminary, and a certificate in Spiritual Direction from North Park Theological Seminary. He has been ordained to Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church since 1995.
Before experiencing God’s call into pastoral ministry, Ralph spent several years working as a Project Engineer for Exxon and 6 years on Navigators campus staff at University of California San Diego.
Ralph and Teresa (a Registered Nurse) will celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary this year and have three children in their 20’s who live in different parts of the United States.
The Search Team unanimously recommended Ralph to the Leadership Team, and the Leadership Team unanimously voted to present Ralph to the congregation.
