In Isaiah 43: 19 God says, “I am about to do a brand new thing! Streams of living water in the wasteland and pathways through the wilderness.”
Combined Baptism and Worship Service on August 18
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets on Sunday, August 18, 10:45 and come to the river for one service (worship & baptism) at Fort Ouiatenon. There will be no services at the Riverside facility on that day. You can also bring a picnic lunch, if you would like, and eat with others after the service. Fort Ouiatenon is located at 3129 S. River Road, West Lafayette.
Let Pastor Dan know if you are interested in being baptized or would like to have your children baptized or dedicated. Contact the office at 765-463-4600 or [email protected].
August 2013 Prayer Calendar
Riverside’s monthly prayer calendar is intended to spur on adults and children alike in their prayer lives. Each day’s requests are biblically based and are for all sorts of people—those who need to know Jesus as well as the “saints.” There are prayer requests for personal spiritual growth, our families, our own church, community, and nation, to around the world. So use the attached calendar as a tool to grow yourself, train your children and bless many people.
Spring Prayer Walk 2012 & May Prayer Calendar
Bring your walking shoes on Sunday April 29th. We’re putting feet to our faith for the Annual Spring Prayer Walk. You don’t want to miss the fun and excitement of walking and praying together with your family and friends in the surrounding neighborhoods. It’s not as scary as it sounds. Just keep your eyes open while you pray and don’t walk too fast!
First, come enjoy a fellowship dinner following second service (please bring a main or side dish to share…drinks and dessert will be provided). Then, we’ll go out in groups to pray blessings on our neighbors. After we’ve prayed, we’ll come back in for some ice cream and fellowship. Come and experience how easy and enjoyable prayer walking can be!
And to help you continue the praying, a May prayer calendar is attached. Copies will also be available on Sunday.
Burkholder Community Meal
Sign up to bring something to Riverside’s community meal on Sunday, September 25 at 12pm. We will be having a special community meal to say “good bye” to the Burkholders and to celebrate the work that God has done through them.
Drinks and tableware will be provided but we need you to sign up to bring a main dish, vegetable, salad or fruit by completing the form below.
We are excited for the Burkholder’s new opportunity, but also sad to lose a part of the Riverside family. God has abundantly blessed Riverside through Todd’s faithfulness and gifts. He has been instrumental in leading our worship music, guiding small groups, organizing the servers, and planning our mission trip to Guatemala next summer. We will miss Todd’s creativity, leadership, and experience. I am certain a church in Knoxville is going to benefit from the Burkholder family.
