We all do. Even Jesus did. The Lord tells us to “Be still and know that I am God,” (Ps. 46:10). With all our activities and busy lives, it can be hard to find that quiet space and time. We want to help—we’re going to open the Riverside sanctuary for prayer and reflection every Tuesday […]

Lots Of Milk Jugs Needed

Many thanks to those who have been bringing in their clean, empty, half gallon and/or one gallon milk jugs to be filled withhomemade laundry detergent for Lafayette Transitional Housing’s Food Pantry. Because you havedone so, volunteers at Riverside have successfully produced and bottled enough laundry detergentto supply 90-120 gallons of soap per month to the pantry. However, we are only able to use the standard half gallon or one gallon milk jugs with “screw-on” type lids. We cannot use snap-on caps or other styles and shapes of bottles due to shipping and storage issues. So please keep saving your milk jugs with screw-on lids and bring them to the church kitchen for our next bottling session. And if you are interested in helping make, bottle or deliver the soap, please contact Linda Bogan at lkbogan@hotmail.com or (765) 490-0000 for more information.
