It is time for the 2016 Riverside/ECC Men’s Attack in the Opposite Direction on April 15-16 at Twin Lakes Camp & Conference Center in Hillsboro, Indiana. The camp is located on 210 acres of scenic property including forests and 2 private lakes. The men of Riverside will enjoy a great time attacking spiritual growth, community and the many activities available (trail walking, challenge mountain, trap shooting, fishing, frisbee golf, basketball, and on and on). Bring your bedding, towel, Bible, notebook and snacks to share.
Rob Eyman will be our retreat speaker this year. Rob serves as Pastor for Discipleship at Covenant (EPC) Church in West Lafayette. He received formal training at Gordon-Conwell Seminary, followed by doctoral studies in Spiritual Formation with Fuller Seminary.
The theme of this year’s retreat is, “A Firm Grip: taking hold of the life that is truly life”. We will focus on what it means to take hold of something that is already ours in Christ Jesus, and explore the process of spiritual growth and what it means to lay and strengthen a firm foundation in Christ.
The weekend begins Friday at 6:30pm with dinner. Anyone that wants to go to the camp early, though, will find others “tailgating” at 3:00pm. The retreat will end Saturday evening after dinner. (We will head home around 7:00pm.)
Cost: $91 per person
