Riverside had more people join us for Sunday worship this past month than we have ever had before. This is exciting, but we need more people willing to welcome our guests by serving in our Welcome Ministry as Servers. Our next Server training is Sunday, February 28 at 12:30pm. Lunch will be included.
Riverside’s Servers are the people on Sunday morning that greet everyone at the door, show guests around our building, help people finds seats, answer questions, and generally seek to communicate the hospitality and service of Jesus to all.
Every Sunday our Servers communicate to everyone that walks in our doors that “you matter, you belong, and this is a safe place to question, explore, and choose next steps with Jesus and others on the same journey.”
Our Servers treat people as they would if they were inviting them to their home. Servers go out of their way to welcome people and to ensure that they feel like they belong. Servers say “good morning” with a warm smile. Servers introduce themselves to guests they do not know. Servers are quick to show guests around our building and to answer any questions they may have. Servers offer guests something to drink and eat (e.g., coffee and donuts). Servers introduce guests to others. Servers generally look for ways to serve.
