Riverside family, we miss seeing you! We hope you were able to join us for some in-person fellowship at Fort Ouiatenon on Sunday, August 23. Our plan is to have more of these outdoor gatherings in the near future, and we know many of you are eager to start worshipping in our church building again.
In gauging how we can safely regather for weekly services, we recently sent out a survey asking for your input. Thank you to those of you who responded! The results of that survey indicate that there is a wide range of preferences about when and how we should resume worshipping together in person.
All of us miss the fellowship of corporate worship, but it is clear that many of you are not ready to attend in-person services in our building. We understand and have decided to continue offering online services at least through the month of September. However, we are gradually opening up our church building to pods or other small groups who wish to meet there, and we are continuing to plan additional opportunities for in-person fellowship in smaller groups. (We are currently not opening the building to groups outside of Riverside.)
If you’ve already been meeting in a small group for church services and are willing to include more Riversiders who are eager to worship with you in person, let us know! And if you have any suggestions for ways we can continue to invest in one another, please share your ideas with us.
Also, our fall pods will kick off the week of September 13th. We have men’s groups, women’s groups, and co-ed groups. Some are meeting in person; some are meeting virtually; and some are doing a hybrid of both. If you are interested in joining one of these pod groups to study God’s Word and share life together, email Katrina Elliott at kelliott@rcovenant.org, and she will help you find a group that is a good fit for you.
