Dear Riverside,
It is with great excitement that we introduce you to Mike Tetrault, our new Youth Discipleship and Worship Ministry Director.
For many months the Search Team has been sorting through applications, praying, and discerning who would be the best fit for Riverside’s needs. After a thorough search the Search Team chose Mike to recommend to the Leadership Team and the Leadership Team voted to offer Mike our position. Mike has accepted the position and expects to begin in June.
Mike’s cover letter to the Search Team explained his call.
Since last Fall, God has been calling me to play a more permanent role in church ministry, but I did not necessarily know what form it might take. However, upon review of [Riverside’s position], I felt God had targeted my passions and gifts and in His wisdom included a community of believers that I hold dear.
Mike was a part of Riverside before he moved to Delphi a couple years ago and is very excited to be a part of Riverside again. Additionally, many in our community know Mike through his service as a French and Math Teacher in the West Lafayette School Corporation for the past two years. Mike also served as a French Teacher at Twin Lakes for six years. Mike’s wife, Autumn, teaches at Klondike Middle School.
Mike has a B.A. from Butler University in Middle/Secondary Education and will begin working towards a ministry license in the Evangelical Covenant Church this summer.
The Search Team was impressed with Mike’s dedication to middle and high school students and his passion to help them grow in Christ. Mike is also a gifted musician and has experience leading worship, writing music, and playing multiple instruments.
We are excited for you to meet Mike and Autumn . . . and their new baby girl, Eloïse.
