Did you know that Riverside volunteers make, bottle and deliver 120-160 gallons of liquid laundry detergent to Lafayette Transitional Housing , Family Promise, YWCA Domestic Violence Women’s Shelter and the Salvation Army for the community’s homeless every month? That’s at least 1,440 gallons of liquid love shared yearly with folks who are in desperate need. It’s an amazingly simple way to love our neighbors as ourselves . . . and you can be a part of it all.
Here’s the 3-step simplest way you can help:
1. Save your cleanly rinsed, one gallon or half gallon milk jugs with screw-on lids.
2. Use a hair dryer to heat up and remove any labels.
3. Leave the jugs in the church kitchen (the room behind the stage).
But maybe you’d like to do a bit more than that?
1. Help brew soap in the church’s kitchen
2. Label jugs and bottle soap in the church’s kitchen
3. Deliver bottled soap to Lafayette Transitional Housing’s Food Pantry
Even if it’s just once a month, your help is very much appreciated. Please contact Linda Bogan at (765) 589-7540 or lkbogan@hotmail.com if you are interested.
