In Zephaniah 2, He tells His people to “Gather together, gather together. . . . Seek the Lord all you humble of the land . . . . Seek righteousness, seek humility. . . .”
We are His people. Are we doing this? Are we gathering together to pray? Are we seeking the Lord? We at Riverside believe we should be praying for all nations, and we also highly value personal prayer time. Yet, we sometimes neglect to gather together to seek the Lord. While praying for the nations, interceding for our own nation can be neglected. This semester, you are invited to join Todd and Diane Kelley in praying for our nation. This is not a time for politics, but a time to pray for repentance and revival in this land we call home. Likely, our children and grandchildren and their children will live here—what kind of home will it be for them? Let’s gather together and make an impact not only for today and tomorrow for the generations to come.
Join the Kelleys in praying for our nation during 2nd service every first Sunday of the month this semester. We will meet in the white house living room. Whether you’re new to praying or a seasoned prayer warrior, or anywhere in between, all are welcome. No pressure to pray aloud. Let’s just come and seek our Lord!
