We made it, school is out and it is time to move into another phase in PL! For the months of June, July, and part of August, we will move to one service in PL and it will be during the 2nd service. We have done this in the past because of families’ vacation times making our number of kids go down significantly. Your children will be watching Bible DVDs and you will see some new faces for their teachers. We have given our regular teachers a well-deserved break for the summer and have new volunteer teachers to be with your kids. When school starts up in August, we will go back to our two services and regular teachers in PL. At this time we will promote the kids to their new grades. This will be less confusing since our new curriculum divides the grades differently than what we are currently used to.
If you haven’t registered your child for VBS, please do so here or at the back of the sanctuary. This year it runs June 22-25, 6:00-8:30. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled week, learning more about God and His plan for us.
This also is my final Chatter I write to you as I transition out of Children’s Discipleship Director. Beginning July 1, I am pleased to share with you, Megan Mills will be the new CDD for this ministry. Megan has been a PL teacher for many years and part of my Ministry Team the last two years. I have complete confidence in her ability to lead this ministry and love your children just as I have for the past 10 years. It has been a joy and privilege to serve your families.
My prayer for you as I go is, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your heart. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:5-9
In His Love and By His Grace,
