Hallelujah! We have survived four Sundays of two services without any problems down in Promiseland. GOD IS SO GOOD. We have all classes covered with teachers and helpers and the kids are already asking when they get to shop in the Promisemart Store. They will shop every six weeks, so the first time this fall will be October 10.
Our mission project is going well. We adopted a child two months ago and have met our $35 goal each month with a little to spare. We sent letters to him a couple weeks ago telling him about ourselves. Please continue to encourage your children to bring their offerings for Beckula.
This month our two year olds are learning about God creating the earth with all the wonderful things in it, including Mommies and Daddies. They will also hear about baby Moses and his trip down the Nile.
The three to five year old class is learning how God takes care of His people through the stories of Creation, Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, and Jacob and Esau.
Our K-3rd graders are hearing about the reliability and usability of the Bible. They will learn that the Bible is God’s Word, it is true, it is for all people and all time. Through these lessons, they will understand how the Bible is like a light, a sword, and a seed. This unit uses the imagery of life as a jungle. Just as in the jungle, people need tools to survive and conquer in life. The children will become familiar with the layout of the Bible and be challenged to memorize the books of the New Testament.
GOT WISDOM? 4th-5th graders are learning that the Bible comes from God and is the final authority for guiding our lives. They will see that it gives practical wisdom so we can be happy and successful. They will understand that the Bible is a firm and unchanging foundation upon which we can build our lives. Finally, kids will discover that the Bible gives us answers for our questions about God and life when we are confused, hurting, or just curious.
We will continue to hide God’s Word in your children’s hearts and consider it a privilege to partner with you in their faith journey.
Serving Him Together,
Dar Muehlhausen
