“But even if God does not save us, we want you, O king, to know this: We will not serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” (Daniel 3:18)
“. . . even if . . . I will be happy with the Lord. I will truly find joy in God, who saves me. The Lord Almighty is my strength.” (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
Women’s Ministries “spring semester” Bible studies begin Wednesday, January 22. We will be studying the book of Habakkuk and the first six chapters of Daniel. Both books explore and address our Women’s Ministries theme for this year: “Even if . . . ” In the book of Habakkuk, we see Habakkuk’s personal struggle to believe God is good when there is so much tragedy and evil in the world, and his ultimate conclusion to trust and rejoice in God. In the book of Daniel, we see inspiring examples of living a faithful life in a troubled and sinful world. Both books invite us into a journey of faith in this broken world.
Uncertain about joining? Come check us out for the 4-week session of studying Habakkuk (January 22-February 19). You can choose at that point if you want to continue with us as we study Daniel (February 26-May 7). This bible study requires no homework, other than reading the chapter for that week. When we come together on Wednesdays, we’ll share together what we’ve discovered and learned, as well as discuss any questions we might have.
The full 12-week study begins Wednesday, January 22 and ends Wednesday, May 7 (with a few weeks off in-between). A session and reading calendar will be given on the first day.
We’d love to have you join us – whether you’ve been studying the Bible for years or are just getting started!
