“Welcome Home” Ladies’ Spring Luncheon
If you haven’t signed up yet to attend or host a table for the “Welcome Home” Ladies’ Spring Luncheon to be held on Saturday, April 30th from noon until 2 pm at the church, you’ll want to do so ASAP. The women’s special events team has invested a lot of energy, imagination and talent into making this an afternoon we won’t soon forget! There will be great food and outstanding music, plus two entertaining yet challenging guest speakers–Kim Bridgewater (from the National Guard Family Assistance Program) and Shari Schap (an all around awesome mom and teacher). This is sure to be a great opportunity to fellowship with other women, so invite your friends! But hurry because space is limited. You can sign up at the back table in the sanctuary or by contacting Susan Henson at 474-2490 or [email protected].
Women’s Acts 2:46 Dinner: Pizza!

Promiseland Chatter-April 2011
Greetings from Promiseland. This Sunday April 10th, will be Promisemart Shopping Sunday, so make sure you bring all those Bible Bucks! The kids are doing a great job giving to the shoe boxes. We have encouraged them to buy items with their Bucks to place in the shoe boxes for Christmas. We have almost six boxes full after only two shopping Sundays. We’ve seen some awesome acts of kindness and sharing as siblings share and save Bucks for each other as they purchase items from the store. Others have demonstrated great discipline as they save weeks and months at a time for a larger priced item. All of the children are about to learn a lesson about inflation as we raise the prices at the store. We are trying to be very frugal with our spending this year in Promiseland and think we need to spend less on the store, so you might hear some whining when inflation hits this week.
Men’s Outdoor Breakfast and Fishing Event
“When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. Jesus said to them, bring some of the fish you have just caught.” . . . “Jesus said to them come and have breakfast” (John 21:9-10&12 NIV).
