Prom Fundraisor for Congregation to benefit Youth Winter Retreat
Bigger and Better
If you’ve ever heard of Bigger and Better, you’ll understand why this game was such a hit at our first youth group last year and why we had to do it again!! The premise of the game is…2 teams start with a dollar, then they drive to a friend’s house and ask what they can get for a dollar that doesn’t need to be returned. Then they keep going, asking if they can trade up at each house. It’s super fun-last year a team took our box springs and it ended up on the side of the road in pieces, we had no casualties this year!!!!:)
Stress Relief

Adelaide has been learning some jokes in recent weeks. (What do you call a one-hundred year old ant? An antique. <laugh here>) It has been a blast watching her laugh and seeing her make others laugh.
There are always a lot of things in our lives that are not funny, but few can deny the cleansing and refreshing feeling of a good laugh. I received the below ideas to cure a bad day. Let me know how they work for you.
Promiseland Children’s Ministry Chatter-October 2009
Changes and more changes seem to be the theme in Promiseland of late. I’m feeling the effects some days more than others as I’m sure you as parents are also. Some Sunday mornings I feel like I’ve lost my brain and don’t know where to find it. Not complaining though. God is good and He is blessing us in many ways. He is faithful always to provide teachers and helpers as we continue to grow. All praise to Him! We’ve kicked Miss Becky and the youth out of their room and moved them to the "White House" next door. Thanks, Miss Becky, for so graciously giving up your room! Our 3-5 year old children in Children’s Church have lots of room to spread out now.
