“I don’t always go to men’s retreats, but when I do, I devour things – like the teaching and a big steak.” – Zach Brennan
It is time for the 2014 ECC/Riverside Men’s Retreat on April 4-5 at Twin Lakes Camp & Conference Center in Hillsboro, Indiana. The camp is located on 210 acres of scenic property including forests and 2 private lakes. The men of Riverside will enjoy a great time of spiritual growth, community and the many activities available (trail walking, paintball, challenge mountain, trap shooting, knife throwing, fishing, boating, human foosball, frisbee golf, and interactive archery). Bring your bedding, towel, Bible, notebook and snacks to share. To sign up for the reatreat, click here. If you have any questions contact Zach Brennan (zbrennan@lsc.k12.in.us) or Pastor Dan (dteefey@rcovenant.org).
Don’t give in to the myth that gods are only statues that people long ago worshiped. Pleasure, romance, sex, money, and power are just a few of the gods that vie for our allegiance in today’s society. Behind the sin you’re struggling with, the
discouragement you’re dealing with, the lack of purpose you’re living with is a false god that is winning the war for your heart. Join with other guys from Riverside as we explore these gods and the one true God that destroys them. Using true, powerful and honest testimonies of those who have struggled in each area, gods at war illustrates a clear path away from the heartache of our 21st century idolatry back to the heart of God – enabling us to truly be completely committed followers of Jesus.
