2012 Summer Mission Trip

Riverside is going to San Raimundo, Guatemala to build a home from June 3-9, 2012.  We want you to go!  Riverside has partnered with Casas por Cristo to build an 18’ by 22’ home with three interior rooms and one exterior room.  77% of Guatemalans live in poverty and many of the families we will serve live off of less than $10 a week.  The house we build will not only meet a family’s immediate needs, but will become an evangelistic tool for Guatemalan pastors who are sharing the Gospel in San Raimundo.  No prior building experience is necessary to change a family’s life forever.  We would like you to consider attending a Riverside Guatemala Trip Information Session following the worship services at 12pm on Sunday, November 20.  Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Guatemala Mission Trip, June 3-9, 2012

Next summer Riverside will be taking a trip to Guatemala to build a house for an impoverished family.  Please prayerfully consider joining with us for this amazing opportunity to serve the poor in the name of Jesus.  We will mix and pour a concrete slab, frame walls, hang drywall, install the electrical, set windows, and finish a roof all in less than a week!  No prior construction experience is required and there are jobs for everyone regardless of your skill level.  Seventy-seven percent of Guatemalans live in poverty and many of the families live off of less than $10 a week.  The trip cost is approximately $1500 which includes travel, food, lodging, and a passport (if you don’t already have one).  If you have questions please contact Dan Teefey at dteefey@rcovenant.org
