As a way for the children (ages 2nd-5th grade) to serve others, we will be making cookies for the Jubilee Christmas. We will meet at the church on Wednesday, December 8 at 5 p.m. and pizza will be served. Please sign up at the Promiseland check-in table or at the information table at the back of the sanctuary this Sunday or contact Dar at [email protected].
Promiseland Chatter-November 2010
Parents, for over a year, I’ve been trying to think of ways for our older PL children to serve others. Becky does a great job providing ways for our older kids to serve and I feel the younger kids need to be given the opportunity to do the same. The PL Ministry Team came up with some suggestions, such as, making cookies for the Jubilee Christmas, helping sort food at a food pantry, doing some type of activity with the kids at the Women’s Shelter, and helping in some manner with the elderly in our church or in the community. We would welcome other ideas and volunteers to coordinate some of the activities. Our thought is to do something monthly or at least several times a year. As of now, we will start with making cookies for the Jubilee Christmas. We will have sign up sheets at the check-in table in Promiseland soon.
Help Needed in Promiseland
Promiseland needs one more teacher for the first service in the K-3rd grade class. You would teach one month, starting in January, and be off for two months. Contact Dar Muehlhausen ([email protected]) if you would be willing to help or if you would like more information.
Promiseland Chatter-October 2010
It is shopping Sunday this week so gather up the Bible Bucks and come on down to the Promisemart Store! We will shop at both services. Our plan is to shop every 6 weeks. The kids are doing a great job at memorizing their Bible verses. We even have a 2yr old that hears his brother practicing his verse and knows the verse also. Keep up the good work parents, God will honor your diligence as you help hide His Word in the hearts of your little ones.
Promiseland Chatter-September 2010
Hallelujah! We have survived four Sundays of two services without any problems down in Promiseland. GOD IS SO GOOD. We have all classes covered with teachers and helpers and the kids are already asking when they get to shop in the Promisemart Store. They will shop every six weeks, so the first time this fall will be October 10.
